 2012-13 Kindergarten Registration
Registration of Kindergarten students for the 2012-2013 school year will be held on Monday, February 27th, 2012. Registration packages will be available in the school office by February 10th, 2012, or may be downloaded from this web site.
Prospective Kindergarten students must be 5 years of age by December 31st of the year they are entering Kindergarten. Students will be admitted according to the CISVA Admission Policies outlined in the 2012-13 registration package and may also be viewed on this web site by clicking here.
Open School Morning
Our Lady of Assumption School will be hosting an ‘Open House’ for all parents, grandparents, prospective parents on Wednesday, February 8th, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. The reason for this is to promote the fantastic learning that happens in our classrooms and to show our community what we do each day. Please feel free to come and visit.
Snow and School Closure
Dear Parents,
The weather office is predicting a rather snowy winter. Obviously, snow could create very hazardous situations for driving, walking etc. When it snows overnight and it appears that driving conditions for both staff and parents is simply too dangerous, the decision to close the school for the day will be made by 7:00 am. At that time we ask that you do the following:
1. Do not call the school telephone number
2. Please listen to your radio CKNW 98 or watch on TV Global morning news. You can also go to their websites for information.
3. Check your emails for an email from Assumption School regarding a school closure.
As always, if the school is not closed, you as parents are the final decision makers in regards to whether it is possible for you to get your child/children to school safely. If you have any concerns, please err on the side of caution.
