Performers—Assumption School Celebrates the Fine Arts
At Assumption School we value the Fine Arts. We believe that taking part in Arts activities is crucial for the aesthetic and cultural development of our children. The benefits of a good arts education are many - improved confidence, improved self esteem, enhanced sense of community and even improved math performance. But the arts are valuable in their own right - they teach us to appreciate beauty, to feel deeply, to know what it is to be human.
As a school we have the opportunity to provide arts experiences for our children that are designed especially for them and at a greatly reduced cost. We want to take advantage of these opportunities and make them as convenient and affordable as possible. We are preparing an exciting slate of activities for this year - opportunities that are just too good to pass up. Rather than inform you and collect money prior to each event, we are presenting them to you all together and asking for a "Fine Arts Fee" for the year. Paying for these activities as one "Fine Arts Fee" saves you from sending in money on a fairly constant basis and saves the classroom teacher from collecting and calculating money numerous times throughout the year.
Here are just a few of the many exciting activities/performers booked for the 2009-2010 school year:
