The Board sets the broad policy
for all schools in the CISVA. This includes admission criteria
for CISVA schools, annual
range for tuition fees, teacher salaries, rules regarding expectations
for staff, parents and students, responsibilities and election rules
for PEC members, as well as numerous other areas.
To carry out its
work at the local level, the CISVA has formed committees at each
parish elementary school and regional high school. These committees
are called Parish Education Committees (PEC). The PEC is composed
of seven members: five are elected in annual elections (generally
held in May of each year) and two are appointed by the Pastor.
