Participation Program Announcements
Need Participation Hours?
We are in need of help in the following area. Any extra time
you can give is greatly appreciated to make our school run as efficiently
and economically as possible. All hours will count towards your 50
hours of parent participation. Please note that these opportunities
for hours are in addition to the hours obtained in your current category.
If you feel that your present category will not provide you with
the required 50 hours of participation by June 30, 2008 please use
these opportunities to make up for any short falls in your hours.
School Clean-Up
Upon discussion with teachers and administration a need has come
forth that the school could use a deeper cleaning in some areas
other than what is provided day to day by the janitorial staff.
In this cold and flu season germ control is particularly important
so there is a need throughout the entire school year to sanitize
the desk top in the classrooms at least twice a month (weekly would
be better if we have enough volunteers). Other areas that need
attention are the cupboards in the classrooms, door knobs, and
a wipe down of the door. In the school the bathroom doors
(especially the area where kids are always touching) need to
be wiped down, as well as the doors in the gym and hallway leading
outside to the playground. It would take approximately one hour
to do three classrooms. This job ideally should be done after
school, or if that does not work with your schedule we can make
arrangements for the school to be opened in the evening. We would
like to see this job being done throughout the entire school year,
so if you are able to help out a little or a lot please contact
